Dues

Stay current on your DSCPA membership. Pay your dues conveniently and securely below.

Our fiscal year is May through April. Dues are posted on May 1 and must be paid in full by midnight on May 30. Failure to pay your dues in full will result in a late fee. Failure to pay your dues and any late fee imposed will result in termination of your membership. You must notify the DSCPA by emailing info@dscpa.org if you wish to resign your membership. Failure to do so will result in your dues continuing to be owed and a late fee imposed.

We encourage all members to make a contribution to our Political Action Campaign (Delaware CPA-PAC, Inc.). The PAC has been organized for the purpose of accepting contributions from interested persons and disbursing funds to candidates for political offices in the State of Delaware other than candidates for Federal office. It is also the purpose of the PAC to encourage the participation of members of the accounting profession in the political process by providing financial support to candidates for State public offices. The PAC is not affiliated with any political party or any other organization. It is organized and operated on a nonpartisan independent basis to assist those Delaware candidates who understand and support the protection of the public interest by maintaining high ethical, technical, and professional standards for the accounting profession and an equitable taxing system for the citizens of the State of Delaware.

DSCPA dues may be deducted as a business expense but not as a charitable contribution. 5% of dues are not deductible in accordance with IRC §6033. Delaware CPA-PAC contributions are not deductible.

By paying these dues, DSCPA members acknowledge that they are in compliance with DSCPA Bylaws, including but not limited to Article II, Section 5.D. as follows:

For members of the Society engaged in the practice of public accounting to retain their membership in the Society, they shall be associated as proprietors, partners, shareholders, members, or employees of firms required to be enrolled in a peer review program; provided however, that the foregoing requirements shall apply only to members and/or member firms subject to AICPA Peer Review compliance requirements or as required by federal, state or local laws and regulations.

and Article X, Section 1. as follows:

All Society members who are certified public accountants, except those who are retired from employment, shall meet a continuing education requirement as follows:
A. Meet the continuing education requirement(s) of the state(s) in which the member is certified and/or licensed; or

If the member does not have a continuing education requirement in the state in which the member is certified and/or licensed, meet the continuing education requirement of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants currently in effect, regardless of whether or not the member is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
